You get what you pay for,
I have an older FM transmitter, but it would only work with the iPod classic and not the iPhone or iPod Touch models. Decided to buy one of these little transmitters for my iPod Touch, and was somewhat disappointed of the quality that it delivered. There is no compression on the transmitter (meaning that you will have to turn your volume up and down for loud and soft parts of a song). There seems to be background noise present. I chose a clear frequency in the area, so there was no interference. My older transmitter did a much better job on the same frequency that this one did. BOTTOM LINE: Works, but spend a little more and get something with better sound quality. My older transmitter was an iLuv transmitter. It does very well, just can’t use it on the newer models.

This is worth the few bucks we paid for it so that we can play iTunes music through the car stereo, but the transmission isnt terribly clear, its somewhat static-y, so Im not thrilled. But it does the minimum and I think thats all you can ask for the price.
